4+ Tutor/Coach - North London

Hi all - I am looking for tutors/coaches that specialise in 4+ assessments to give my DS a little extra help. He will sit assessments for the typical range of North London schools.

Could anyone kindly DM me with recommendations that they have used in the past? Ideally in an Islington/Highbury/Crouch End/Highgate/Muswell Hill postcode/Hampstead postcode.

Thank you in advance. Really appreciate it.

Hi @BrightBunny1 I used to be a Head of Pre-Prep and now tutor for schools entrance assessments (4+/7+/11+). My specialism is 4+ assessments which I do in-person. I'll send you a DM 😃

At 4+, schools are usually looking less at academic ability (although this does count) and more at how a child engages.

Things like curiosity, confidence with an unfamiliar adult and the ability to communicate clearly tend to stand out.

Where preparation can help is familiarity. Children who have experienced similar formats in a calm, low pressure way often feel far more settled and show more of their natural ability on the day.

A common mistake is focusing too heavily on academic drilling and missing those softer elements.
