Maths performance of children with poor handwriting

Who else has noticed that children with poor handwriting tend to do worst in mathematics ?

Opposite here. DS has awful handwriting and does best in maths (secondary school age).

My hand writing is atrocious but I've always been excellent at maths.

My DS is currently in the progress of getting diagnosed with dysgraphia, his handwriting is awful but he is excellent at maths. Mine and dd's handwriting is very nice ( we both get compliments on it ) but we are both shocking at maths

Opposite here too. My son is in year 5 and maths is a strength whereas handwriting is terrible. For kids his age they largely ascribe it to covid, as he lost chunks of reception and year 1, which are critical for handwriting.
