Please I desperately need suggestions of 1:1 (online or face 2 face) 11+ tutor for Reading Grammer School for DS. My DS has been attending a tutoring 'school'. I am very worried with the progress in Vocabulary/English. Please I would appreciate suggestions on tutors and how to support him. Thank you!

Hiya,
I have been tutoring for a while and have taught 11+, as well as English and Creative Writing separately. If you would like my help, please send me a private message and we can sort something out. :)
Thank you,
Mathura

Do you think he might be better of in a comprehensive?

I just tutored my sons myself. Didn't have the money for expensive tutors. If you've got a decent standard of education yourself then 11 plus style exams are not difficult to coach someone in, using the appropriate resources. Would that not be an option for you, OP?

I do tend to think that anyone who needs intensive paid-for professional tutoring to get into grammar may struggle if they get into a grammar.

We used Atom learning. I wasn't previously keen on online platforms, but we gave it a go. And although DS didn't get into the school we wanted (we started prep far too late) the scores he got in the online Atom learning exams matched his real results almost exactly. It gives you a really good idea, not only of whether he's likely to pass, but also where to focus your son's efforts. You can put in the school you're aiming for so you get questions tailored to that exam.
I thought it was great.
