Cost of secondary Maths Tuition by experienced Teacher

What's the hourly rate for Maths tuition (1-1 and small group of up to 10) in the south East?

Teacher has 15 years experience in range of schools.

I charge £50 an hour for 1-1 English tuition as do a few other people I know. I don’t do groups.

Do you, or your colleagues, take out professional indemity insurance?

I never have: I do know someone who does but they tutor as a full time job, rather than casually.

Gosh that is a lot. We paid £25 an hour for A level maths tuition in 2019. Leafy Cheshire Grammar area.

Oh, I should add that I’m London/ Essex border.

7 years ago I paid £35 per hour for A Level Maths. West Midlands.

Thank God I gave up teaching and trained to a plumber. Earn a lot more than a profession that I needed a degree + a postgraduate qualification for.

My dd charges £30 per hour and has insurance
