11+ Tutors - Surrey Schools

Hi,

We are a family of five moving to UK with my company from Singapore. I was based in London between 2006-12, but both my wife and myself are from Australia and Sweden respectively, so getting our head around schools and getting immersed in the education needs, has been quite overwhelming, particulary as we sit here in Singapore.

The most important priority is to start getting my oldest child ready for the 11+ exams this year, for 2022 entry. We want to live in the Surrey area, so have really centred our search through the Good Schools Guide, but am sure there are many other great schools we havent considered (please feel free to suggest :-))

Reigate Grammar School
Sir William Perkins's School
Ibstock Place School
Kingston Grammar School
Surbiton High School
Lady Eleanor Holles School

As its summer holidays here starting on 25th June, we are looking to utilze the time effectively and get both my daughters upto to speed for 11+ and 9+ entry. Hence, getting a tutor at least once a week via Zoom/Teams who is familar with the schools above, would be ideal. Would really appreciate a response.

Can you join local Facebook parents (normally called 'mums') pages to these schools and ask for recommendations for tutors close to where you will be living so once you arrive your child can then meet with tutor in person . Or ask the schools for any recommendations too

Hi @Dhatrader Try www.englishtutorial.co.uk or emailing [email protected] They offer online tuition over zoom from KS2/KS3/KS4. All qualified subject teachers who have taught at the top private schools so know the curriculum and skills kids need to focus on really well! My daughter has had tutoring with them for a few years now and the results have been excellent - she has progressed so much. Highly recommend I hope this helps!
