Home Schooling my 15 year old

Hi mumsnet members, I am in Surbiton / Kingston and considering homeschooling my 15 year old because he is struggling to thrive in his current school. Is anyone else out there home schooling in the same area?

@Katiewoody123 your poor dd, I feel for you both. Sorry my ds goes to school and is the same age. I am assuming you have tried to get support from the school but they have not helped?

@Blubell46 thanks for your message, the school have actually been really helpful, but the combo of COVID and lots of other factors mean that school is not the best place for him to be for the next year. We are getting a new plan in place - slowly but surely! Thank you for reaching out :-)

@Katiewoody123 I wish you the best of luck and if you ever want to chat on Mumsnet am here! Us mums need to stick together - my ds is currently doing GCSEs and it is very stressful- I am just grateful he is attending the exams!
