Best software for tutoring online- what do you use?

I’m keen to start tutoring online.

Really stuck in terms of which software to use.

We were told during school closure that zoom wasn’t safe enough, so I’m not sure what’s a good alternative!

I’m primary level, so do you scam and send the work beforehand or share it during the session?

I’m really not sure how this works, so need to do research!

Many thanks

I've been using Zoom since March. No issues at all.
I use bitpaper as an online folder/workbook for all work. No scanning or printing required and everything saved in one place.

I moved all my tutoring onto Zoom in March. It's really simple to use. I share the whiteboard and any work. We can both write on the screen.

Mine (tutees, not tutor!) use Zoom, Microsoft teams and Skype, depending on the tutor.
No problems with any of them, but we do have excellent wifi/ broadband at home.

Thanks for the replies! Is it easier to zoom from an iPad or laofip or no difference?

Zoom works differently on ipads and Chrome books. I've found my Windows laptop is best.

Love Zoom. It is so flexible and easy to use. For security I always use a waiting room. We use it at school, which is very security consious and never had a problem.
