How do you pay for a tutoring club?

Hi,

I hope I can get a rough sense of how parents pay for after school tutoring clubs. I run an after school club and there are a handful of parents who just refuse to pay on time, it is so frustrating chasing them.

I do remind them, I stated very clearly from the outset that it's very uncomfortable for me to chase payments but the same handful of parents repeatedly stall. They do eventually pay.

If you have to pay for a club, (education) do you pay on the first week? Latest second week? And can I ask what happens if you miss a session? Are you reimbursed?

Thank you

I'm a private tutor and have been for about 4 years. I do one to one, paired and groups. You need proper terms and conditions which apply to all bookings. And you need to be prepared to withdraw tuition for any student whose parents have not paid. I've found charging in advance is the only way to go. All tuition is non refundable.
If you want to PM me I can send you a link to mine.

Oh, thank you so much Rosesinmygarden.
I'm really not enjoying the "business" side of things. Feel like giving up because I'm a teacher, not a business woman.

I'll pm you, that'll be great.

I use an online accounting system which invoices for me, and sends reminders. Best thing ever as I hate chasing payment.
