"My lover, my killer": Guida and Tony

Well educated, very driven, very successful. Gets into a relationship, but he doesn't want children and she does. Relationship peters out.

Guida then gets into a relationship with (Tony) who, at 35 yrs old still lives with his parents (major red flag?). She has her own home and a successful career. He's a teaching assistant. She has some issues with him in terms of hygiene (or something along those lines), but things develop and she has the much wanted baby.

Given his earning potential (really crap) he becomes a SAHF. He has no independent income and is completely reliant upon her. Over time things turn sour and end horrifically.

I can't help thinking that her judgement was flawed in choosing him because she felt time was running out and he, effectively, was just a sperm donor and he felt demeaned. I'm not making excuses for his actions.

Thoughts?

I remember this hitting the local news in 2016 and been in total shock
I live in Bradford in my 20s I worked with Tony as a holiday rep we briefly shared An apartment.
I just remember him as a really quiet and very polite guy this isn't something I'd have expected from him or anyone to be fair.
I want to watch the documentary I was only telling my other half about the story as we are watching some other crime show ..
We don't have netflix and I think it's on there

Yes, It is on Netflix.

Not the usual run of the mill abusive male partner situation. Watching it, I did think about how this would be viewed if the roles were reversed. Tragic.
