Best playmobil vehicle for a soon to be 4 yr old boy?

Hello all

My DS will be 4 soon - he loves boats, aeroplanes and helicopters, and we've decided to go for Playmobil.
The problem is now I'm spoilt for choice.

Budget is about £50 which rules out the large pirate ship (also think it would be too big to take in bath etc)

I liked the look of the jet but have heard bad reviews about it - it falls apart easily etc.

Other options are
Coast guard boat
Family yacht
Medical copter
Smaller pirate ship

Has anyone got any of the above or anything else similar and would you recommend?

Thanks

Boats are good, especially if you get the motor and put them in the bath or a paddling pool. Except the pirate ships which are fiddly and tend to fall apart. My personal favourite is the cargo ship but it is big!

Helicopters are good.

Recycling truck is a perennial favourite here, or any of the big vehicles really.

DS had a set that had a rescue helicopter with winch and a rescue dinghy boat with working motor so you can use it in the bath/paddling pool. He's had great fun with it.

I'll see if I can find a link

sorry -looks as if they don't do that combination now

Thankyou - will check those out now. Norbert I think I've seen the helicopter dinghy set second hand on ebay - will go and have a look.

Aeroplane or recycling truck are the most played with here.

Boats the least played with of our Playmobil (although Noah's Ark is popular). Helicopter is ok but falls apart a lot and we're forever losing a crucial bit that makes the blades spin (on our 3rd spare part now).

Police stuff can be good too.

Ambulance good too.

Thanks MrsJohnDeere - how solid is the aeroplane, does it fall apart easily?

The roof comes off easily, but it is supposed to (so you can put people in seats etc). The wings and wheels do come off if it is thrown around (as by my 2yo) but not if it is played with as it is meant to be. Very easy to put back on again.

we have smaller pirate ship which is great, family cruiser boat also played with loads, most played with though is the recycling truck.

bin lorry gets bins and a cat

Thanks for that everyone. Still can't decide - am veering towards the plane I think, as I know he would love it.
