Wooden toy animals for 13m+

My little Moo has currently started liking to play with animals and making the sounds they make. She loves doing imaginary play hiding them in boxes and 'walking' them about. We have small stone figures in the house (you know the ones sculpted from semiprecious stone) which she adores playing with (but DH is massively afraid she's going to drop them on the 'lovely' hardwood floors denting it or alternately on her toes. I don't have the same qualms, but to avoid 'discussions' every time she picks one up...) I'm looking for something more kid friendly. I also want something that has the choice between more than just farm animals. (Her current favorites are the elephant and the owl)
Has anyone come across this? I saw the Le Toy farm set and really liked it, but cannot see that there are jungle animals or any other kinds??
Should I/ Do I need to go with the plastic figurines that are more realistic to find good variety?

My little Moo (same nickname ) has some of these lovely dinosaurs. I think Pintoys make some more ordinary beasties too.

Those are lovely. I'll have to look up Pintoys for other beasts.

google Holztiger. They are not cheap but are v. v. resilient. And have a huge range.
