Sand/water play tables - Great or total PITA?

thinking of getting my boys one of the sand/water play tables - for using outdoors - will they like it enough to justify all the hassle with picking stuff out of the sand/ changing water?

We got the dd's one last year as dd2 loved the one at nursery, i bought a really nice one (cost a small fortune) and it has hardly been played with and is now sat (upside down) in the garden .
