I'm not sure how to describe it so that you will know what I mean. It's a toy made up of coloured plastic rods that are jointed together so that it can be pushed into a small-ish ball or pulled out to be a large geodesic-style sphere.

DS saw some boys playing with one at the airport and I fancied playing with one myself said I would try and buy him one. I'm finding it hard to search for it online though because I don't know what it's called.

ooh I know what you mean, I got when as a child when on holiday in Spain years ago and saw it on sale in one of the christmas catalogues. Can't find it any where though and can't remember the name. sorry.

I couldn't open your link for some reason Madre, but I used the description in the link to do a Google search and I have bought one from Hamleys. Thank you, DS will be very happy (for about 2 mins and then he'll get bored and I'll have fun playing with it).
