Would you recommend the Playmobil Rock Castle?

Hi,
My Mum is thinking of getting the Playmobil Rock(Dark Knights) castle for my sons between them for Christmas. They have been asking for a castle for ages and I know Playmobil is usually great. However, I've read mixed reviews of it and just wondered if anyone had it and if you would recommend it?
Thanks

ds has it and the extensions. Think it is a great alternative to the traditional fort style (and easier to put together!).

Thankyou - I didn't realise you could get extensions for it.

And has anyone seen any good Playmobil deals recently?

Thanks

You could try the damaged box sale starting 26 Oct, you have to call Playmobil to find out exactly what they have available but some good reductions on larger items.

Oh thanks for that tip! Is there a specific number to call or do you just call the number on the website?

good prices to be had in Costco. quite a bit on 3 for 2 on the boots website.

(I'm not convinced about playmobil, all those tiny bits stress me out!)

I know what you mean tassisssss, they do get a bit fiddly, buts its the best toy castle I've seen accessory wise. A wooden one would be nice but all the ones I've seen you have to buy all the knights, horses separately and gets very expensive.

We have it and it is very popular but it does fall apart a lot (and I get fed up of rebuilding it). BUT ds1 is only 3.5 and quite boisterous (and his younger brother even worse ). Might not be a pronblem with an older or more careful child.

Noah's Ark and some dinosaur stuff half price at ToysRUs at the moment too.

Thats what I'm worried about it MrsJohnDeere my ds1 is 5 and quite careful but ds2 (it will be joint present) is just 3 and also quite boisterous. How do you/they cope with all the little bits?

Little bits are a bit of a problem - they go everywhere. Some of the worst (treasure chest full of tiny coins, cannon balls) have been hidden away until they're older.

I have lots of tiny boxes for different things - swords, shields, hats/helmets, etc - and try to keep them together.
