Where are you buying your safe toys?

Hey,
Where are you buying your safe toys for babies/toddlers in the UK?
With all of the recalls of toys this year's, I'm struggling to know where to buy things that are safe for children. I don't like Amazon as they seem to be a lot of Chinese knock offs under multiple different names and although they are they are non-toxic I worry that this might not be true. I won't but from places like temu or shein etc.
I regularly buy bits from charity shops etc.
Thanks in advance

Slightly confused by your question as there's quite a few reputable retailers for toys, but maybe you mean something specific?

The Entertainer / Early learning centre
Smyths
Small Kins
Jaques
Argos
John Lewis

I wanted to ask this too thanks! Any brands that are sold on John Lewis etc I’ll buy from Amazon but wasn’t aware off knock offs. Happy with Aldi/john Lewis or British brands big jigs for brio stuff as knew they are tested.

want some grimms stuff but would never risk temp for the knock off stuff and toxic paint

When getting new toys I buy from Babipur quite often. My child loves the Lanka Kade figures. We've also got some good things from the Plan Toys mini range. Other places we've got things are John Lewis and a local independent shop that has Orange Tree wooden puzzles.

I get quite a bit from charity shops but usually stuff like jigsaws, pairs games and similar, soft toys that can be washed, doll accessories - I try to avoid things with magnets, screws or small parts.

I've just seen someone mentioned Jaques. They are great too! (Also love getting them as gifts for others because they come so beautifully packaged.)

Big brands. Duplo, Brio or Big Jigs, Owl & Fox, Little Dutch, Ravensburg or Orchard for jigsaws and games, or we buy from the Entertainer or our local independent toy shop. I went mad at DS’s birthday when DH’s sister bought him some clearly crappy toy car that the battery compartment completely broke off after about an hours play, letting the cell batteries fall out. Thank god he’s past the stage of stuffing things in his mouth. Cheaply made crap isn’t worth the risk.

Kids Collective, Junior Edition and Berylune are good for younger children’s toys. They stock brands like Maileg, Le Toy Van, Little Dutch and Tenderleaf that are all reliable!
