My Little Live Pets (with small accessories removed) for a young toddler?

Thinking ahead to Christmas. DS2 will be almost 18 months old then and he loves dogs. He also loves our toy baby: he will feed the baby with the bottle accessory, walk him around in the stroller and cover him with a blanket. I was thinking of getting him a My Little Live Pets puppy and removing any small accessories. But I wonder if an interactive pet will be appropriate for a young toddler or if I would be better off getting him a dog plushie with a bowl, basket, etc.? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I don’t think he’d get much out of it until at least 2.5/3. On the plus side my youngest loves them still aged 7, we’ve just had to replace the bird which had been used to death. Not sure about the dog though as we haven’t had that one.

thanks for your response! Maybe I will get one for DS1, who is 4. The birds look very cute.

just get the walking dogs which have a lead with a button on!

My little one still loves pushing her baby and walking her poodle at 3.5 😊

This sort of thing

thank you! I think you're right, the walking would be a big hit but he's too little for the other interactive features.
