Wooden or plastic/metal doll’s pram?

I want to buy my daughter a doll’s pram, crib and high chair. She’s 2 and a half. I have a 6 month old baby and she’s loving getting involved with her so I think a doll set would be a hit. I love the aesthetically pleasing look of the wooden ones but I fear the plastic/metal realistic looking ones would be more pleasing to my daughter! Has anyone had any experience with their children and prams they played with? Has anyone got any that you would recommend? Would you recommend the stroller or bassinet type pram with a hood? I also want to get a doll’s bath so if anyone has any recommendations for that too, it would be much appreciated. Thanks for any advice.

Wooden is probably too heavy for a toddler to move it around so I’d go for the metal option

I'm not a fan of large wooden toys unless they're intended to remain immobile (like dolls houses, for example), as they hurt more than the plastic equivalents if hurled at you or driven over toes. Also, the great joy of a pram for a child is pushing a dolly or teddy somewhere in it (to the park/along the pavement). You're unlikely to take a heavy wooden pram out of the house and, if you do, you'll have to carry it around when it's discarded. Whereas a folding stroller type one can just be plonked in a big bag or chucked under your actual pushchair.

Wood has the benefit of being hard to tip over but also is heavy to carry and hard when it rams into furniture/walls/shins.

The lightweight plastic buggies are easy to store and take out and about but so light they can run away with the child and they inevitably fall and often don’t have the wherewithal to let go so land on their face. FIL used to put ankle weights on our children’s.

The bigger prams have good accessories and tend to last a long time as they tend to be taller. Mine loved to use a removable carrycot but are cumbersome if you take them out and about. We had my old silver cross type one, it was lovely and sturdy, mine would push each other in it but often we had to carry the pram and the child which was annoying!
