AITA for not wanting premature toys that are missing bits? Lol

My baby is 6 weeks old and I have enough money to buy her everything she needs, just to be clear I don’t mind second hand and I think it’s a great idea to save money however my stepdad got my little girl a play table (from the bin at the bootfair) and the telephone is missing, it’s got blocks missing too, he has a fair bit of money so it’s not like he couldn’t have got her something second hand and not defective. I said thank you but I don’t want it. My little girl won’t be able to use it till she’s 6 months and I said to my mum oh the phone is missing & she said “you can make one”. I don’t want to be rude but I haven’t got the room for stuff that’s no good. How do I tell my parents as my mum bought clothes before that were very well used and tatty.
