Any idea what this toy is my 3 year old has been talking about

So my 3 year old daughter keeps going on about a toy she’s seen (on a tv advert I think whilst at her childminders). I’d like to consider getting it for her birthday except based on her description I have no idea what it is.

Does the following mean anything to anyone?

Some kind of ball toy where the ball gets squashed and then comes up / out somehow and ends up on the roof (in the advert I assume)!

Totally cryptic I know but I figure if you’ve seen the advert she’s seen it might ring a bell.

Yes I know that, or at least I can match the description to a toy I have seen advertised. I will have a hunt.

gruffalosgrandma · 03/08/2022 16:46

Could it be a wubble bubble ball ?

TeenDivided · 03/08/2022 16:48

Smyths toys: phlat ball ?

Newuser82 · 03/08/2022 16:51

Yes I thought phlat ball too.

TheSmallAssassin · 03/08/2022 16:54

Advert looks promising!

*video I mean

Jellybean023 · 03/08/2022 18:39

Thanks all that does look promising. I’ll ask her to confirm in the morning! Not too expensive either 😁

I've never actually used one, but I am wondering how much strength is needed to squash them, and whether a 3/4 year old would have enough. (Doesn't mean don't get it though!)

Br1ll1ant · 03/08/2022 18:58

My youngest had one in speech therapy when he was 3/4 and had no trouble squashing it. It was a big hit.

WonderingWanda · 03/08/2022 19:24

They are rubbish, we had one and It wouldn't stay disc shaped long enough to throw!

BottlingBurpsForGrandma · 03/08/2022 19:30

"Throw a disk, catch a ball!!"

Although as my 8 year old astutely said "Throw a disk, catch another disk!"

BottlingBurpsForGrandma · 03/08/2022 19:31

@WonderingWanda we obviously got the extra stick from yours!

ItsDangerousInKingsmarkham · 03/08/2022 19:32

Yep a phlat ball. My kids love that advert too 🤷‍♀️

Ha, sounds equally underwhelming!
