Birthday present doll for 3 year old girl

My son has been invited to a birthday party of 3 year old girl. I have heard she likes playing with baby dolls, dressing and undressing them.

I have come across Baby Born and ordered one from TkMaxx. TkMaxx does not have reviews so I went to Amazon and got a bit disappointed with lots of reviews about faults and poor quality of Baby Born dolls.
This is one example www.amazon.co.uk/BABY-born-Touch-Magic-Dummy/dp/B0854YCS3M/ref=sr_1_6?crid=31SK93FX52GIA&keywords=baby%2Bborn%2Bcity%2Bboy&sprefix=baby%2Bborn%2Bci%2Caps%2C71&th=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1645354131&sr=8-6

Baby Born dolls are rather expensive comparing to other makes. Just wondering if they worth the price or shall I buy something else. I still have time before birthday party to return the purchase and buy another doll.

If you're looking to buy a doll on the higher price end, £30-£60, then I think it's important to get something high quality! You want it to last, and in my opinion you want it to be beautiful if it's gonna be in your house.

I love the Olli Ella dinkum dolls or cozy dinkum dolls - beautiful, high quality, and often stocked by smaller toy shops so you can support a local business.

Little Dutch also make some really gorgeous dolls.

That's a load to spend on a kid's friend! But assuming you're happy to spend it, my kids were v happy with the baby Bjorn dolls and you can buy lots of accessories for them (i.e. her parents can for other birthdays etc).

Unless you’re about to drip feed that the three year old is also your god child, I’d say your budget is a bit OTT

That's an insane budget for a 3 year old. I don't think many people would spend it on their own child let alone a friends.

If she likes dolls then truthfully she probably already has lots of dolls. I would therefore but her some dolls accessories such as a car seat or a toy pushchair or something else entirely, you can't go wrong with Playdough or books.

I love Baby Born dolls but seriously that is a way too expensive gift for child you are not related to. That's the type of toy that comes from parents/grandparents. It could be very embarrassing for the parents as a Baby Born doll might be a bigger gift than the one they have bought for their own child.
Your child will be invited to many parties over the next few years. You do not want to be spending that much money. Never more than a tenner. Seriously.
