Which first pedal bike best for 5 year old

Looking for advice about which bike is best.
My 4 year currently uses a strider balance bike and loves it. He's ready for a pedal bike as he coasts great on his balance bike. I'm looking at the frog 40 or the strider 14 sport with a pedal set to attach (the benefit of this is that he can practise balancing on the new strider as a balance bike, then when ready, I can attach the pedals). Plus it's cheaper too!

Depends on your budget. We started on an Islabike (second hand, but still very expensive); we took the pedals off initially until DD was really confident on it as a balance bike.

However it's worth saying that we needed her to cycle as our cargo bike was dying, and we cycle a lot, as a means of transport as well as for leisure. If you have other means of transport, then you might want to go for a cheaper bike!

We have a Squish which is lighter than the equivalent Frog but much cheaper than a new Islabike. DD rides a lot as I don't drive, and she loves it. It's a great little bike.
