Favourite toddler toy? (For 16months and older)

What is/was the best toy/toys for your toddler? We got rid of all our toddler toys after DC2 and now need to think about what toys to buy (or re-buy) for DC3, and I have no idea what the older DCs liked at that age!

I’ve just ordered some pincer grips and a tuff tray, but I really need inspiration as I’m bored, DC3 is bored and for my sanity I think we need a few more toy options.
I never really had this issue before as we lived somewhere with a great baby group 3 times a week, but there’s nothing on in this new area due to covid.

Thanks!

It really depends on the child. My dc1 loved building things, so always gravitated towards Duplo and Stickle Bricks.
Dc2 loved pushing things along tracks and rolling balls down ramps! He played most with the toot toot drivers track, wooden click clack track and his older brother’s AquaPlay Lock box. He also loved his pull along stacking train.
Dc3 preferred pushing cuddly toys around in a little trolley, the pop-up play tent and tunnel, and burying things in the sandpit.

My little ones love to play lego/superheroes/ cuddly toys/ vehicles/animals and dinosaurs. All these can keep them entertained for hours! X

Thanks, both of you!

I have found that DC3 likes organising things, and moving things from one box to another. Maybe all I need is to find lots of different containers?

Hey Times10!

You shouldn't be bored! There are so many great toys to pick from!

Balls, blocks and books. You can't go wrong with the classics! Though I really love the ideas that Fivemoreminutes1 brought up. Pop up tents and pull along toys are perfect for that age.

Check out some of the toys here, there are loads to choose from!

Hope that helps!
