2 yr old, where to start with a bike?

Would you start with a balance bike or a 3 wheeled trike with pedals? I'm not sure which is the best place to start, I have seen the thread with proper bike recommendations for a 3 yr old but what's the stage before? Many thanks

i would look at getting a littlebigbike. it starts as a balance bike, which you can add pedals to when your dc is ready.

Definitely start with a balance bike. My DTs have both, and they whizz around on the balance bike but their trikes are barely used.

I'd say there is a case for both. Learn to pedal, learn to balance.
That said, most trikes dont have the same peddling position as a bike, so id go for a balance bike. Look at the weight of it before you buy. You want a fairly light one.

We got a Strider balance bike for my son’s 2nd birthday. He wasn’t too sure at first but now at 2.5 years he loves it
