Bobbin Gingersnap bike - any good?

My little girl has her heart set on one of these, and if it's a joint grandparent present then it's doable for Christmas... but they are so expensive that I wanted views on whether they're actually good as bikes, or is it all about the way they look? I'm happy to spend it on a solidly good bike that will start her off well, but if it's all fur coat and no knickers in cycle form, then no!

I looked online for reviews, but they seem to either be from people who've just bought them and plan to gift, or from bloggers gifted them as freebies in exchange for reviews, so guaranteed to wax lyrical.

Is it a decent, solidly built, comfortable little bike, or is it just cute? Can anyone advise?

Hiya!

Thanks for mentioning us and considering our Gingersnap bike.
Just to confirm - we don't have a programme of gifting or paying influencers here at Bobbin. We're a tiny company and we don't have the budget for that.

If you see someone waxing lyrical on FB or Insta, its genuine :)

I have a grown up Bobbin bike and it's lovely. The quality is very good.
