Are they worth the money? My daughter is desperate for one for Xmas but it’s hard to justify spending £80 on it.

@coolwwalking count yourself lucky then as it’s the only thing mine has asked for it is a rediculous price

Are they tat yes to us adults they are over priced plastic tat but to our little ones they are fantastic and that's what they want. I've just wrapped my daughters for her birthday on Monday and I know she's going to be over the moon with it and that's all that matters to me.

Don't be fooled. I ordered exactly the same doll - LOL Bigger Surprise at £59.90 and the exact same "L.C L." doll arrived. I contacted paypal who said they would refund the price paid but only if I returned the fake doll to the seller in Guangdong in China at my own expense. I enquired about courier charges and was quoted £49. I have now contacted Trading Standards but do not hold out much hope.

Itsallaboutcake · 08/12/2018 16:32

@sillyperson did you order your bigger surprise from the website loldollsonline.com? By the price etc it sounds likely to be the same place. I'm going through the process with PayPal at the moment but don't hold out any hope of getting my money back, upsetting as that is. However I'm going to keep trying, and also to keep bothering the supplier, it will make me feel slightly better even if it doesn't result in any refund...

sillyperson · 08/12/2018 16:51

Yes it was ordered from loldollsonline. I find it ridiculous that paypal offer to protect payments and then ask you to return at your own expense. They are breaking the law selling fake goods. There should be some protection. Paypal are difficult go get hold off and the people at the other end have a language problem - so communication is difficult. They told me at first - don't worry you will be entitled to a refund - and then they sent me an email saying they would only refund if I returned the fake item to the seller in China and gave me their address - but no return label. I was surprised at the courier cost. It looks like I will have to write off. So much for paypal protection.

Shelwyn12 · 08/12/2018 21:08

No don’t just write it off! If you log onto your PayPal account and activate the free returns on us they pay some of it or refund you the postage. Mine hasn’t turned up yet which delivery company delivered to you? They told me yodel and told PayPal parcelforce!

trockodile · 18/12/2018 09:39

Just letting you all know that I received my refund from PayPal, plus £15 of the return so quite relieved! Have bought from amazon at £60 and it appears genuine and is very obviously different to the fake! From here on I am definitely sticking to Amazon-the other sight appeared so genuine, still so annoyed with myself Xmas Angry

You were lucky with paypal. I found them to be of no help whatsoever. I have just received notification this morning that they have closed my claim. The cost of the tracked delivery was more than the £59,90 I paid for the item. I notice loldollsonline.com does not appear to exist any more and they have had bad reviews posted on trustpilot - so they have probably been forced to close down. However I am now £59.90 out of pocket.

Shelwyn12 · 18/12/2018 15:44

Oh no that’s awful. I had a full refund as it didn’t turn up within the timeframe they gave me you need to keep ringing PayPal for a refund

trockodile · 25/12/2018 17:22

Popping on to update and say that 5 year old dnephew has had a fabulous time unpacking surprises-and the dolls are currently enjoying riding the paw patrol fire engine! Probably not worth £60, but it has kept him happy all day and he is delighted-so after all the stress I’m calling it a win! Hope everyone on here ended up doing ok and happy children all round whatever you ended up buying! Xmas Smile
