next stage of puzzle

DS has just mastered the shape puzzles he has where you put the pictured shapes in the relevant holes in the board. What's the next stage of puzzle in terms of development?

hi still trying to move my son on from one peice puzzles and he's three now djeco have some nice ones with layers the first layer is the one peice type but with four peices on the next layer, you can get two peice ones too but mating the two peices is tricky good luck with it

How old is your DS?

Mine went from the wooden inset puzzles as you describe, to wooden inset puzzles with one shape picture made of a few shapes like this.

He pretty quickly went to the 2 and 3 piece puzzles after that (this sort of thing) - www.orchardtoys.com/product/farmyard

This one from Orchard Toys is particular good and very, very well played with.
