Hi everyone, my DS will be one in a few weeks and then it's Christmas! Shock Can't believe how quickly the year has gone!

Anyway, am looking for advice on what presents to buy him. There is so much to choose from and as I don't have much space/money I want to get him something he will play with.

What toys did you buy your little ones that they played with loads and held their interest for more than 2 minutes!

Looking forward to your suggestions!

My DS's fav toy is a little pushchair and doll for 90p from jumble sale! Pushes it everywhere.

He's into his shape sorter. He's book mad. He likes building blocks to make a tower and any toy that makes a noise!

My DS will be one in January. We're trying to buy him things he can grow into a bit as it's a long time 'til next Christmas and we don't really want to go out and buy more toys when he's 18 months old. So far we've got a Toot Toot Drivers set, a set of Happyland animals and a Scout toy.

Last time we were in ELC he went a bit mad over the toybox toys (especially the frog in the car), and the foam mat with the alphabet on (for chewability, it would seem).

Ikea stacking cups.
A sturdy ride on/push along car.

Duplo Lego, it says from 18months but should be fine with supervision earlier. Can be played with until 10 ish years if they want ( or longer). Is good as you/ family/ friends can add to over the years.

I was just about to come on and pose exactly the same question!
