hi all

we have a fisher price bouncer which DS loved but DD is not impressed. I was thinking of getting the baby bjorn one as it is more upright as i really need something that will keep her happy for a little while so i can shower/eat/clean/pee!!! i can then leave the FP one in my parents house as we're there a lot. also, i make big babies and DS was too heavy for the FP one by about 5 months so like the idea of one that will last longer. it's crazy expensive though.

it says it's suitable til age 2 but has anyone used it for that long or how long did you get out of it? i can't imagine a mobile baby being happy to sit in a bouncer.

thanks.

We had a lovely bouncer that ds hated but he alway always settled in friends baby bjorn one, in my mind minutes to shower wee etc are priceless so well worth the spend, you could buy new and sell after on eBay or try eBay anyway tho I think they go for quite alot

They are excellent - well worth the money, and sometimes you can get a god deal on ebay if your lucky.

I think it says it all, that they do sell so well on ebay. They last till your child is two, as well.

I sold mine very honestly on ebay, it had served two children the fabrics were faded, and the toy bar had been teethed on, but it was still in great condition. It still sold for £45.00 and the the buyer was thrilled with it ad felt she had got a real bargain.

DD had a fisher price bouncer to start with as the vibrations were brilliants for soothing her. Though once she learned to sit up, she hated it and we bought a baby born one from eBay which she is much happier in. She's 8 months now. I paid £65 for it...as someone else said, it's worth paying the money just to give you a few minutes peace!!!

Hi OP, I have baby Bjorn bouncer and having been using it for nearly a year and half. My DD is now just under 18 months and it's lasted really well. I think we'll be using it for another 6 months. I love the fact the fabric is machine washable, great for leaky nappies etc and that it folds flat. I think it was one of our best buys!

Xx
