Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what play gym to buy? There are so many out there and such a range of prices! Any experiences/advice would be appreciated. Am new to mumsnet so please bear with me if I haven't posted correctly!

Is this for a baby?

Agree no need to spend lots. I bought a Tiny Love one on eBay and DS loved it. I couldn't believe the prices for new ones!

What was a complete waste of money was the one bought for use at my parents' house from Babies R Us. It was cheap and definitely not cheerful because the toys were too high up for an immobile baby to reach, let alone play with.

Thanks, funny I saw a top ten list and the tiny love one was no 1 or 2 I think. The fisher price rain forest one also rated highly! I guess if they get good use out of it then it's worth the money. DD is 16wks and little miss curious at the minute so anything that will entertain is good!

I've heard good things about the rainforest one too.

Anything with a bit of black and white pattern on it. dd would gaze at the black and white swirls on hers for ages

I had my DD in the rainforest one from 6 weeks and she has just stopped using it and 6 months. Definitely worth the money even tho it is a bit expensive. Thinking of selling it now because it still in brill condition.

Fisher Price Rainforest, bought and sold on ebay for pretty much what I bought it for!
I borrowed a baby einstein one that was really good as well - it had a star attached to the top with flashing lights and music when baby kicked the bar, and the star came off for car journeys etc.

Mothercare are doing the baby Einstein one for nearly half price, so might go with that! Thanks so much for all posts Smile
