Trikes - a hole in the pocket - is it really worth it?

Hey all, tapping into the wisdom of mums out there once again....are trikes really worth it? I'm looking at the smart trike, ital trike etc. They are expensive and I'm not sure if DS will enjoy it, which one is better or even what age is it really appropriate for? Any thoughts welcome.......

My DD loves hers. I started usin it at 14 months as she hates going in her pushchair. If I let her walk she gets too tired and I am pregnant again, so can not carry her far. She LOVES being in her Trike and I take her for walks or evenround the shops in it (if it will fit in your car).

I would say they are good!

We have a smart trike for ds (15m) & he loves it! It's really handy for short trips like the school run & for when he does that annoying thing of going stiff as a board if I try to put him un his pushchair! He loves it too especially the little cup holder for his drink.

karen thanks!

toots ds is 10m, so we're a bit far from it but I LOVE the thought of a cup holder for his drink Smile
