Nintendo newbie: Whats diff between a DS and DSI?? Want info to decide if to get dd one!

Right, I have noooo interets in technology, dh loves his grown up gadgetry, but dd will be 6 later this year, and she is loving her donated leapster, so just starting to look at prices of Ninetndos for saving up to help santa...

so, can some ine help me? What's the difference bteween a DS and DSI? (I know there's the 3d one but I don't think that will be an option for her, think she would be thrilled with a 'normal' one?)

Is 6 (and a bit ) a bit too young or an ok age for a DS?

Any game sto recommend? (she was playinga dressing up dog game on her cousins and loved it!)

My 5 year old DD has a DS (first one, nothing fancy) and its fab. It does everything she needs to play games like Fifi and Disney Pricesses. I personally wouldn't spend the extra money on a DSI for someone of that age.

DS/DS lite play GBA and DS games.

DSi has extra SD card slot instead of GBA slot for downloading games off the net and a camera.

GBA = Game Boy Advance BTW.
