balance bike or scooter?

What do you think is easiest to use for my DD who is 3.5, a balance bike or a scooter? I'd like her to be able to use it this weekend. Any suggestions on what brands / models to buy?

My DD is 3.3 and is riding her older brother's hand-me-down mini micro scooter. Would definitely recommend.

DS is 3.3 and he got a balance bike for Christmas. He bloody loves it. Really loves it. His was just a halfords one, but they go scarily really fast on flat paths.

DS has a mini micro scooter and a balance bike. The scooter is easier/quicker to master ime.

Scooter. We have both and DS much prefers the scooter. It's also MUCH easier to carry when he decides he'd rather run back from the playground- the balance bike weighs lots more.

Depends if you want her to learn to balance & ride a bike or not. Balance bikes are brilliant. DS had one at that age and learnt to ride a pedal bike without stabilisers not long after. He now has a bike and a scooter.

Scooter!
Brilliant for them and much easier to carry when they get fed up and want to walk half way in to town!

Scooter. Mini micro. Without a doubt.

My 3.4 yo loves his balance bike. He always uses it for the school run, both ways. He gets bored with the scooter and then I end ip carrying it.
However, it obviously differs per child.
Hope she enjoys whichever you get.

balance bike.
the one-sided movement on a scooter is not very good for the growing bodies if used daily for a long(ish) time. plus the dc easily tire, see many parents carrying the scooter.
dc1 was on a balance bike from 2.5y switched to normal bike at 3.5y. great for the school run (1m) and for long walks on the weekends.

I bought them both! Half price! Thanks for all the advice!
