Ozbozz My First Scooter/ - would you recommend?

I'm looking at scooters for my 2 1/2 year old dd and this seems to be a good option as it is height adjustable and goes from 4 to 3 to 2 wheels as needed.

She isn't very tall though and has previously only used a three wheel scooter with big, chunky wheels.

Is the micro scooter too expensive? I'm not an expert but when you see kids about the place these seem to be very fab and easy to ride. My older boys had this type of scooter from about 6/7 years old and they were excellent. Years of use.

Thanks. Yes unfortunately the micros are too expensive. A lot of the inline ones say from 6 years though and she is a smallish 5.

The kind you linked to is the kind dd1 wants. I guess if I got one that is height adjustable then size wouldn't be a problem and she will learn to manage it eventually.

I wouldn't be surprised if dd1 was proficient on it pretty quickly! They are fairly easy to ride. One of my sons found balance and coordination hard at that age but even he was soon zooming about on his. Could your dd2 have dd1's old scooter, if she got a new folding type? Or how about an ebay 2nd hand mini micro? I really suspect that the ozbozz would not be a patch on a mini micro, sadly. It looks far less stable and easy to ride with the close together wheels.

I'd get a 2nd hand mini micro if I were you.

mini micro is money well spent imo. my ds has had his and rides it every single day from age 2 now 3 and half. I'm sure it will last another year at least

Another cheaper micro scooter wannabe here. Still suspect the micro is the one though!

The iscoots seem to get very mixed reviews. But if you're strapped for cash and can't get a 2nd hand mini micro it may be worth taking a punt on one.

We're not in the UK. The mini micros are ?65 each here and the maxi is ?115 - way over my budget although I do agree they look great. The Ozbozz First is only ?25 and the other one is ?20.

We are in the countryside and have to drive to school so the scooters are for taking on days out, walks etc during the summer and not sure I can justify paying so much. I think it would be different if we would be using them for everyday school run or something.

I'll look on ebay for second hand but I think delivery costs might be a problem.

Still hoping to hear from someone who has used that Ozbozz First Scooter.
