Family paddling pool / Bestway Easy up pool advice needed!

I want to get a large paddling pool type thing for this summer for the garden for my DD who is 6. Most paddling pools are just too small.

I have been looking at these 8/10/12 easy up pools that come with a filter. My question is - aren't they really cold? do they ever warm up/get warm? I would buy a cover for it, but even so. Can anyone advise?

OR

anyone know of a good alternative that a 6 year old would love??

you can get a heater for them but think they take ages to get it warm but i found a solar cover worked well and the kids wore wet suits to help keep them a bit warmer

Thankyou for replying! How warm did the water get? it's so cold when it comes out of the tap!
What size is yours?
Did you need a ladder?
How clean does the filter keep it?

hi mine is a 12' one last summer it didnt get warm due to the lack of sun! but the summer before it was warmer - the top 4" were like body temp but under that was quite a bit colder but it certainly didnt deter my then 5yo ds, as once your in it you get used to the temp. it did take a couple of days to lose that cold tap water feel though!

as for a ladder we didnt need one, i just lifted my ds in and out, it was just low enough for me to step over the side.

the filter keeps it reasonably clean but would advise getting a net aswell to get all the stray grass and bugs that get in it. you'll also need chlorine/algicide if you wanted to keep it up for any lenght of time with out changing the water.

hth!
