Which 2 wheeled scooter for 5 yr old? (one of the micros, JD bug ....?)

Hi

Looking back through the threads scooters seem to be a hot topic (mostly 3 wheels v 2).

I'm looking to get one for our 5yo DS as a present for when his baby brother arrives shortly. He's v keen on having a blue 2 wheeler Smile

Looking around there are heaps of different makes. I'd like to get something robust and with an adjustable handle that will grow with him, and am beginning to realise I need to crack on as I'm now approaching 38 weeks pregnant.

Any ideas folks?

Many thanks,

Bump

.... ANY ideas?

As i'm looking for something fairly robust and decent quality I'm imagining it may not be cheap so would REALLY appreciate any feedback.

Many thanks

we've just got ds1 this he has just turned 6 and was also keen on something with 2 wheels and blue!

if he hadn't particularly wanted the blue i'd have got this one simply because it's easier to fold (i believe).

but aside from that the "light" one is fine. seems really well made and he can scoot very well on it

Thanks thisisyesterday,

the micro scooters seem so popular they must be okay but it's good to get confirmation from someone who has used one.

I could have started this thread, thanks Karuna. :) Am looking for a 2-wheeled scooter for DS for his 5th birthday in a couple of months.

He's had a mini mico (2 wheels front, 1 wheel back) since he was 3, which has been great - he got the hang of it immediately. But now he's at school and I think is hankering for something a little more grown-up. From looking at other scooters on the school run I think a lot of them are much the same - but it is a bit of a fashion thing... i.e. he would like a JD bug because his best mate has one.
