Can anyone recommend a toy vacuum cleaner that actually works??

As it says in the title! DS2 (3.3) would love one but I don't see the point in having a pretend one really. Thanks

wouldn't that be a miniature vacuum cleaner then, rather tahn a toy one?

I've never heard of a working toy vacuum cleaner.

DS has a second hand upright Dyson toy which has fake dirt rattling around in it. I've seen it new in the Next catalogue.

I've seen a toy Henry Hoover one before that had suction.

Ds (2.4) uses the dustbuster a lot (usually gets if he spills cheerios or something). He's pretty good at hoovering anyway. Has been known to plug in proper hoover and do the front room Blush. Good thing about dustbuster though is that it runs out of charge relatively quickly so noise is limited !!

(PS we didn't actually get it for ds... but no regrets...)

The ELC one has suction, it comes with a little pack of polystyrene balls to hoover up.
But if you want to go real hardcore then mini uprights are the way to go. Then maybe send the little bugger up the chimney for a good ol sweep after they have finished.

floor sweeper

How about one of these if you don't fancy connecting her up to the mains!

Thanks everyone!

You do indeed get toy vacuum cleaners that are designed to work, but thinking about it, I don't really want another big(ish) toy hanging about so I dustbuster might be good idea!

I'll get it for myself though and DS can use it when he wants to help rather than battering the walls with my vacuum!
