Roller skates - inline or ones with 4 wheels roller disco style?

DD 7 is determined she wants roller skates for Christmas. I have seen loads of inline skates, which I don't know if she could use or the roller disco style skates - www.smythstoys.com/rollerskates-98sc/quad-skates-pink-3336-e04370pd.aspx

What would you do for a 7 year old? Sensible option or inline skates where she might fall over and break a bone, but hey let's not wrap her up in cotton wool!!

Inline skates should be fine. I got them for my dd last Christmas when she was 5, she does very well with them. And she isn't particularly athletic, she still can't ride a bike without stabilisers.

I had originally ordered quad skates but there was some problem with the order so I ended up having to get the inline ones from Argos on Christmas Eve. Worked out well though.
