Alternative to a DS for a 4 yo girl?

Dd wants a Nintendo DS for Xmas as her older brother has one. I think she's too young so wondered if you had any recommendations for alternatives - V Tech type things. She is only just 4.

Oops, meant to say V Tech or Leap pad. Anything a bit more educational - maybe with phonics, numbers etc

We got DS a V Smile pocket with games like Wall-E, Scooby Doo & Diego. He loved it.

Leapster 2s are pretty good and you can usually get some great deals on them around Xmas. Last year Littlewoods were especially good.

leapster 2 is great but he will probably know that its not a ds, had this problem with my youngest dc. I would buy second hand older version ds, at least they can share games , will prob work out cheaper and she will be happier .
