Do the small lego pieces fit on the bigger duplo pieces or not?

Thinking of buying DS some big boys lego. Shall I get rid of the duplo and mini mega bloks to make space for it or can they all be used together?

As far as I can remember it all fits with everything. ELC would be able to tell you for sure.

Fits on duplo but not mega blocks I don't think

So does duplo fit on top of lego, lego fit on top of duplo or both?
