Anyone invented a baby product before?

I have come up with a great baby product, don't think I have the time or finances to develop it myself so was thinking of approaching Mothercare to see if they would be interested in it. Does anyone with experience of developing their own products by themselves or with companies have any advice to give me.

there's a good site (will look) for amateur inventions. Think that Bayliss guy runs it and it explains how to get your product taken forward.

I had mentally invented a cool baby product for bottle feeding (ironic as I'm a breast feeding supporter!) but never took it any further. I too was thinking about approaching a well known bottle company to see if they would produce it but haven't yet.

Thanks for that, the advice on that site is not to go to big companies with your ideas as they are unlikely to sign confidentiality agreements and you risk losing rights to your design. I'm going to have a look at other patenting services to see which seems best.
Cheers
