Highly exciting thread where I ask you to tell me what scooter my 7 year old son needs please.

I know this has been done before - but couldn't find anything on MN archives to help .

Ds is 7. I would like (finances permitting) to buy him a new scooter before the new term. What do I buy? The big boys all have two wheeled scooters but everyone seems to rave about Micro maxi, I don't want to save up for this and then find out after 6 months it is 'babyish', yet looking on the website it seems to indicate this is good for doing tricks etc on.

I am so confused and ds doesn't seem to know what he would like if he could have a new one. I intend for it to be a surprise.

It needs to be light for me to carry home, duarble and easy to use.

Sorry, not the most exciting subject for a sunday afternoon, but any advice would be welcome.

if you think he's ready for 2 wheeles, get a micro sprite - two wheeler and half the price of the micro maxi
