Shadow person in dream when I was a child

I was only about aged 4, and had a dream I was going into my parents' bedroom. When I went into the room, I saw a dark figure sitting on the bed opposite facing away from me.

As it turned around, all I could see was a silhouette of a person, completely black, with white oval eyes. I remember feeling a great sense of foreboding, and went out of the room quickly.

When I woke up, I was pretty frightened. There is no way I could have known what a shadow person was as such a young child, and I don't remember seeing any pictures etc that would have had an influence.

Anyone else had a similar type of experience?

Apparently not! I bookmarked your post OP because it sounds like an interesting phenomenon. Have you seen anything like it since?

Not since, no.

But i did see a woman asleep in the bed next to me years ago at DH's old flat, although I think some people will just say it was a hallucination or i was half dreaming. I definitely know i was terrified as I sat bolt upright and she stayed there, asleep, under the duvet and dressed in some 1920s Flapper girl type costume!😫😬🫣

I'm not sure. It's the only time I've seen a so-called "ghost". I think i have a good sense of intuition, but i don't know if it means I see spirits as such...

I did remember feeling a sense of knowing my grandma was ill and near the end when she died though.

This is basically what was in my dream, with a more rounded shape head. It was bloody horrible 😢
