White feathers

Hello,
I'm not entirely sure if I'm posting in the correct category - if I'm not, please could someone tell me which category would be best?
Anyway.....
White feathers!
So this has been going on for long enough now that I've decided to post here about it. Way too often and for too long for it to be a coincidence.
I keep on seeing them everywhere, frequently.
When I see them, they float down from higher up above me in the air, and float softly and slowly right in front of me.
They are always pure white.
I look up and around me, and there are no birds anywhere. Not even in the distance. Not sitting on roofs nearby or anything like that. I really do stand and look because I'm trying to locate a bird, but there's never any sight of one.
Recently, I was walking along after I'd just been put for a walk and had been emotional and tearful about stuff I've got going on, and a white feather gently floated down right in front of me and landed at my feet. There was nothing above, behind, in front or to the sides of me. It came from the air. No trees nearby, no houses nearby. Nothing.
This is happening so, so much.
The frequency is now increasing.
And each time it happens, I stop in my tracks, look around, and I can't logically explain where the feather has come from.
This morning I was sitting in bed with a cup of tea and the bedroom window was open. I was reflecting on things and feeling a bit downbeat. As I was looking out of the window, a white feather slowly floated down right in front of my line of vision, and floated in through the window.
I'm seeing them in all sorts of different environments.
Does this mean something, or am I just reading too much into a perfectly normal everyday occurance?!

Look up Baader-Meinhof phenomenon

Honestly who knows, but I take comfort from white feathers and see them a lot when thinking of my dad and definitely noticed them more after he passed.
If it's comforting just acknowledge and allow it to make you feel better, there doesn't have to be an explanation.

Look up Baader-Meinhof phenomenon

I learnt about Baader-Mainhof when I was 16 doing Psychology A level.
It's not that.

I was sitting in the garden this morning and one floated down in front of me. If you want it to mean something and it seems to help, that’s fine.

Maybe people are airing their pillows and duvets?

HippyDays · 07/09/2025 16:16

I find this, and I know it means nothing in the strict physical sense, ie there is an explanation.

But it makes me think of my Dad, and that is comforting. So I think what he would say, or that he would be proud of me, or that he would understand things are difficult. I just feel a bit closer to him.

So it is like a prompt to think about him. He’s brought to my mind. And in that sense I feel he is ‘there’.

I have no idea if that helps you. I didn’t explain it well. I find it comforting.

I have no idea what it means but I have noticed the same with white butterflies. I feel like it's my sister letting me know she is near l
