I have a friend who found her cat using a sniffer dog!

In Japan they say you should ask other local cats to tell your cat to come home. In reality you should put their litter tray or anything that will smell of them like bed etc outside.

Have you got a neighbour nearby with a rabbit?

Ask your neighbours to check sheds and check any derelict/ neglected type sheds/ storage areas near your house. That’s what I’m getting. I hope they are safe and home soon.

Thank you. There are derelict buildings on farmland next door, but the farmer is not a nice man, and won’t let us on his land… so my husband went there after dark, but was very quick , as he didn’t want the farmer to see him trespassing.

@TwoWithCurls Would love to know whether your cat came home. Mine's been missing for more than 5 months and I'm finding it both stressful and upsetting but also something that most people think I should have got over by now 😔 I hope you got yours back

We found our cat after 4 years, they got lost due to house move, they were scanned at the vet who called us as the address was different....turned out they'd been taken in by a lady who had looked after her...she wanted to keep her as she'd been looking after her well...we said can't have been that well if you took her to the vet once in 4 years!
