Your Haunted Hotels/Stays!

Hello fellow spooks,

I have been utterly fascinated by all your previous posts of staying at a haunted hotel/ B&B etc. My husband is a sceptic, I am a (reluctant) believer, but would LOVE a spooky encounter. Where are your spooky recommendations, and what did you see there?

St Briavels Castle - it's a Youth Hostel now so fairly cheap and basic accommodation.

DP and I were in a room ( The Hanging Room) with 8 others and we'd all just settled down for the night when there was an almighty crash in the middle of the room. Someone snapped on the light but there was nothing that could account for it.

Later I was woken by a muffled squeak from one of my room mates. The room was full of beautiful blue lights, like neon tubes just floating about between me and the door. They were pulsing gently through various shades of blue. I prodded DP awake so he could see them too. I think by then all of us were awake and watching. They didn't seem creepy or frightening at all. After a while I got bored with watching them and went back to sleep.
