So my 15 year old son said he has heard something jumping on My bed as he walked past my room and going downstairs. I was waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs to go out. I didn't hear it but he had no reason to feel scared as I was in sight. The other kids didn't hear this conversation.

this morning my ten year old came into my room and said he saw something walk past his bedroom door. Hard to get an explanation as he's got a language disorder and asd. But it was big and white. He has said in the past someone is watching him and he hears someone talking. He won't sleep in his room but is happy to spend the day in it.

We heard someone saying "goodnight" once at the top of the stairs but we are detached and a good ten metres from any neighbours doors at that point of the house.

I have seem something go past my door in the morning. But it was my daughters hight at 8. No child has ever grown up here from what the neighbours tell me. Previous owners might have died here, can't be sure as neighbours have now moved. House is built on old chaple land. We rented it out before we moved in and both tennants said its haunted. They could hear people walking about upstairs when they was downstairs.
The house has a lovely feel to it. It always feels welcoming, always has.
Something weird happened when we started to move in. But that's it.
I've got a science degree so struggle to belive in a afterlife. But both kids saying separate things is a bit odd

How old is the house?

I believe in all this. Reckon you've got yourself some spirits sharing your space. Best thing to do is research how to coexist. I'd do stuff like ask their consent to live there, say they are welcome but don't scare us, ask to learn about their stories. Its a tough subject and I am prepared to have people laugh at this, BUT we see time and time again stuff like this, there has to be something we don't know as living humans.

I sometimes talk to the house, I don't feel at all scared here. I don't think I would even if I heard something jumping on My bed. It's more that it's freaking the kids out a bit.

If this was happening in my house I would be checking in the attic, basement etc for an uninvited guest rather than think about ghosts, but then I have read too many real life phrogging horror stories! In Japan a women lived in a tiny cupboard in a man’s house for a year undetected, true story!

so it’s not a dilapidated Welsh farmhouse? Is your husband an artist? If neither of these then I’d contact Danny Robbins if I were you?

Omg I'd be putting that for sale sign up. I'm an absolute shitebag and have an over active imagination. I couldn't cope with that id be scared. I'd be alright during the day well mostly but at night I'd be too scared to go to the toilet on my own!

Placemarking! Nothing to add but think you sound very level-headed OP! Would like to think I’d be the same in your situ, but highly doubt I would be.

I believe that the reason some houses have a rep for being haunted is to do with air and acoustics - so damp levels, how the light comes through windows, how sound carries, noises from plumbing - all sorts of things.

I think you’ve got one of those houses. Try not to talk about it in front of the kids, they have active imaginations. Explain that some houses are just noisy. I’m glad it has a nice friendly feel.
