It’s coming to the time now we’re I need to use a baby monitor for DD however when DS was a baby this came on the screen and there was nothing in front of it and only me at home I moved it switched it off and saw what looked to be a hooded figure at this point I brought Ds into my bed and got rid of the monitor but i keep thinking back to it and wondering if it was something or nothing? So scared to use a baby monitor again! To add I don’t believe in anything supernatural but this scared me.

Only one thing for it. Burn the house down and start again.

I can see the 'face' but can't work out what it is supposed to be. The rest of the picture definitely looks like the underside of a lampshade though.

This is what you experienced. Our brains see facial features where there are none. Don't give it another thought.

@Aquamarine1029 is right. I studied photography many years ago and remember learning about this. It always stuck with me because I love the show most haunted and thought so much could be explained by this. The human brain and eyes searches for faces in things subconsciously. Don't worry about it. Chuck the video monitor and get a sound only one.

Honestly, OP, would you actually be all that scared if your house was really haunted by something about the size of a can of Sprite that sits harmlessly in your bedside lamp?

I agree with the poster who said it was the lightbulb. To me it looks like the monitor reflected in the lightbulb.

Yep. It's a reflection on the light bulb presumably. Why is the monitor pointed up into a lampshade anyway?
