The great big cob that I love has come off part loan (not his fault, his loaner is helping out a friend who has had an accident and can't ride her horses for a long while), and I was offered first refusal 'as everyone knows you love him'. Will be signing up next week . Unlimited riding (just have to work round lessons, and since the kids can't ride him, he doesn't do a lot) and fussing, but with no care commitments
And I did my first jump today - not that I meant to, was cantering one of the TBs round in the school, and he swerved in a bit and decided to jump 2 ft in the air over some little cones. It wasn't elegant, but I didn't fall off. Will keep having a lesson a week on him as he pushes my comfort boundaries, and I need that combination

Congratulations. I'm really pleased for you. It's lovely and scary when you sign up for that first loan. Enjoy it.

Thanks - am totally, unreasonably excited about it, and had to tell someone who would think it was a good thing

Hugely enjoy it - am sure you'll have an absolutely wonderful summer. And the weather is looking great too. Lots of luck and have a fantastic time.
