Stable mirrors - anyone tried one?

That's it really. We've been recommended to get one for our pony who gets really stressy in her box. It can't hurt, but I was wondering if anybody had tried one.

Never tried one Seeker but remember years ago somebody trying one with their horse who was being box-rested for 12 months! Yep 12 months. Can't remember it making that much difference tbh although like you say, can't hurt to try can it.

Do you have any idea year how much longer is she going to be in for?

She can't really go out properly where she would like to be until the fields dry up, so she has to be in her box unless she can be turned out in the school until Spring! But it would be nice to be able to put her in the box for half an hour without her getting upset even when she is out most of the time. She's such a lovely pony apart from this box thing - I'd love to find a way to make it easier for her.

No I haven't - primarily because I can't seem to find one over here (Benelux) but I've always wanted to try one and would love to hear how you get on. My girl doesn't like being inside either.

Fitting it today - will keep you posted!

Popular with racehorses here in Newmarket if on box rest or isolation. Horse Requisites sell them - they are big and cheap and made of reflective plastic rather than glass so safer.

We have mesh covered holes between all our stables so that the horses/ponies can talk to each other.
