Happy Birthday!

Am preparing for DS1's 21st on Friday! Where did the time go?

elastamum · 26/01/2010 22:25

Happy birthday

MitchyInge · 27/01/2010 08:57

thank you

it was a lovely birthday except I broke my little finger, which should not happen on your birthday should it? HUGE respect for the para dressage riders, could only canter in one direction without two working hands - on the other rein my 'circles' turned into unplanned sprints down the centre line

hope you all enjoyed the sunshine I cosmically ordered for the day anyway

Am at your lovely sounding new boots. Always ride in wellies which I've shoved under the hosepipe to clean the mud off. Not the smartest look.

But spending £££s on new boots would be a bit daft as all I ever do is hack out. So I can't justify it can I? Can I? No. Not really. Need to wait for my birthday!

MitchyInge · 28/01/2010 17:59

they are only whispers Shires but they look very shiny and have leather soles (I think, not sure as have taken them back to change size and am waiting excitedly)

look not insanely expensive

(worried I sound ungrateful now but am not, am very pleased with them!)

Very reasonable price and lovely looking boots.

Owls- when is your birthday? You need some boots

mummydoc · 29/01/2010 09:55

ooh very nice boots and absolutely nothing wrong with shires at all, my dd1 has got a shires tweed jkt for showing in, bought for 30 quid of ebay and she looks lovely . stuff is sooooo expensive and it seems extraordinary to spend a fortune on show stuff for kids in particular to grow out of. I have just seen on joules web site they are futher reducing sale items and some very nice brown leather long boots which you could rid ein are down to about 70

Owls · 29/01/2010 20:08

DAGTD - worried in case my scruffiness has been noted in other parts of the COUNTRY. Assuming you are in Devon?! Unfortunately (or fortunately which ever way you look at it) my birthday is not until August.

Those boots are lovely Mitchy. Am also liking the look of the other boots linked to elsewhere in the Tack Room. But £285....think the wellies might have to do a little bit longer.....
